SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? The Southern Conference announced that Davidson’s Sarabeth Peele has earned volleyball player of the week honors for August 24-26.

Peele, a freshmen from San Antonio, Texas helped Davidson start the season 2-0 with wins against UNC Wilmington (30-22, 30-17, 30-28) and Radford (30-22, 30-24, 30-28). 

The 6’0 outside hitter had a team high with 15 kills in game one and five digs and one block.  She accumulated 16 kills, three services aces, and seven digs against Radford.  Peele averaged 5.17 kills and 2 digs per game.
