ASU Football to be Featured on Fox Sports Net

Appalachian State University football's preparations for the defense of its back-to-back NCAA Division I football national championships and 2007 season opener at Michigan will be chronicled for a 30-minute documentary as part of Fox Sports Net's popular Under the Lights series, ASU athletics and FSN announced Monday.

FSN camera crews will shadow the Mountaineers throughout much of the month of August, beginning with players reporting to campus, through the team's first practices of the season, media day, Fan Fest and the dog days of summer camp and concluding with the Apps' season-opening trip to the 107,051-seat Big House in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The all-access documentary is expected to air on FSN South and other regional affiliates in late September or early October. Other recent Under the Lights subjects have included Florida, Florida State, Missouri and Wake Forest's football programs, Florida head coach Urban Meyer, Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Matt Leinart of USC and the Hawaii coaching staff that included former NFL head coaches June Jones and Jerry Glanville.

The Mountaineers report for fall camp on Thursday, Aug. 2 and open practice on Monday, Aug. 6. Full preseason coverage will be available throughout fall camp at GoASU.com.
