Women's Tennis Southern Conference

Three SoCon Women's Tennis Teams in Top 25 Recruiting Classes

Three Southern Conference schools were among the top 25 women’s tennis mid-major recruiting classes on Tuesday by the Tennis Recruiting Network. Furman was listed second behind Pepperdine, followed by College of Charleston third and Elon at 19th. Samford, who will join the Southern Conference in the 2008-09 academic year, was tabbed 12th.

The mid-major rankings include all colleges in all divisions except for those in the "major conferences". The major conferences for tennis include schools affiliated with Bowl Championship Series conferences - the ACC, Big East, Big 10, Big 12, Pac 10, and SEC - as well as the Ivy League.
