Defending Champion College of Charleston Leads After Day One of Women's Golf Championship

Mt. Pleasant, SC ? College of Charleston shot a team total 307 to lead after the opening round of the 2007 Women’s Golf Championship at Patriots Point Golf Links in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. 

 

College of Charleston’s Megan Miller leads the field after shooting a 74 on the day. Teammate Steffi Kirchmayr is tied with Western Carolina’s Desiree Karlsson for second with a 76. Furman’s Blair Lamb and Corrine Carr join WCU’s Kandy Carland tied for fourth after shooting a 77 today. UNCG’s Annelie Weimenhog and Charleston’s Dinah Plyler share the seventh spot with six players tied for ninth.

 

The final round of the championship will tee off at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17. The championship was shortened to a two-round tournament after poor weather conditions canceled the first round on Sunday.
