Davidson’s Stephen Curry Heads All-Tournament Squad
Davidson’s Stephen Curry, who helped lead the Wildcats to the 2007 Southern Conference title and the league’s automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament, was named tournament’s Most Valuable Player in a vote of the media.
Son of former Virginia tech and NBA standout Dell Curry, the younger Curry played a key role in Davidson’s success as the Wildcats slipped past the College of Charleston, 72-65, to win the league crown. Previously, Curry had earned a spot on the all-conference team and was named the league’s Freshman of the Year.
The media recognized 10 players at the annual tournament which was played at the North Charleston Coliseum.
