Davidson’s Stephen Curry was named Southern Conference Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 13. It marks the second time the freshman has earned the honor.

For the week, Curry averaged 23.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals as Davidson stopped Chattanooga, 87-57, on Feb. 6 and beat the College of Charleston, 73-63, on Feb. 12.

He broke Davidson’s freshman single-season scoring record against the Mocs and tied the school’s single-season three-point field goals against the Cougars.

He scored 21 points against Chattanooga and added 26 points against the College of Charleston as Davidson upped its record for 22-4 overall and 13-1 in SoCon play.

Other nominees for Player of the Week included: Davis Browne (Appalachian State), J’Mel Everhart (The Citadel), Jake Robinson (Western Carolina), Donte Draper (College of Charleston) and Donte Gennie (Georgia Southern).
