SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? Davidson’s Ben Altman was named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week.  A standout on Davidson’s wrestling team, Altman is undecided on a major and has a 3.7 grade point average.

Altman, a Wilmington, Del., native has an overall record of 13-5.  He has one third-place and two fourth-place finishes at tournaments in the 125-pound weight class .  Altman recorded a pin, three major decisions, a  5-1 record and third place at the Davidson Open.
