SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? The Southern Conference announced today that Appalachian State’s Scott Ervin has been named the Wrestler of the Week.

Ervin, a senior from Weatherford, Okla., won the Reno Tournament of Champions by beating No.11 Morgan Atkinson of Call State Fullerton 11-8 to claim the 149-pound title.  He went 5-0 during the Reno Tournament of Champions and 7-0 last week with two victories at the Buffalo Tri-Match.    

Ervin is 13-2 on the season with two national tournament victories.
