Chattanooga forward Khalil Hartwell (Philadelphia, Pa.) was named Southern Conference Player of the Week on Dec. 17.

Hartwell posted a double-double by scoring 19 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in an 86-70 Southern Conference victory over College of Charleston on Dec. 15.

A junior, Hartwell made 9-of-11 shots from the field and dished out three assists in the triumph at McKenzie Arena. He was also credited with a blocked shot as the Mocs improved to 5-4 overall with 2-0 mark in conference play.

Other notable performances during the week were turned in by Jason Richards (Davidson), Montell Watson (Elon), Kyle Hines (UNC Greensboro), Michael Porrini (Western Carolina) and Willie Powers (Georgia Southern).
