SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? UNC Greensboro’s Thomas Campbell has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week after scoring three goals in two league matches last week.

A junior from Middletown, N.J., Campbell scored his first goal of the week on Wednesday night against 22^nd-ranked Furman, giving the Spartans (5-4-2, 1-2-0) an early 1-0 advantage. Campbell then added a pair of scores in a 4-0 shutout over Wofford on Saturday to help UNCG to its first SoCon win of the season. He also assisted on the game-winning goal versus the Terriers by finding teammate Tebatso Manyama just 71 seconds into the match.

Other top performers this week include Appalachian State midfielder McCoy Livingston, College of Charleston forward Matt Morris, Elon goalkeeper Clint Irwin and Furman midfielder Dane Roberts.
