SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? Appalachian State’s Dianna Thomas was named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week.  A standout on Appalachian State’s volleyball team, Thomas has a 4.0 grade point average in Exercise Science.

The Mobile, ALa., native 39 kills, 45 digs, 11 blocks and a hitting percentage of .421.  Thomas is a key contributor to the Mountaineers nine game winning streak.  She had12 kills, 19 digs and a hitting percentage of .241 against Furman and against The Citadel she tallied 8 kills and had a hitting percentage of .500. 

Thomas had her best game against first-place College of Charleston amassing 19 kills, 10 digs, 7 blocks and a hitting percentage of.545 in a Mountaineer win.
