Ball Wins Her Second Volleyball Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? The Southern Conference announced today that Chattanooga’s Leslee Ball has been named the volleyball player of the week for October 29.

 

Ball, a senior from Sycamore, Ill., had 55 kills, 18 digs, 9 blocks and hitting percentage of .457.  She had a career high in kills with 31 against The Citadel.  Ball tallied 24 kills and a .435 hitting percentage against Georgia Southern.  Ball helped the Chattanooga to a 2-0 record during the week and increased their record to 10-3 equaling last season’s win total.

 

This is Ball’s second player of the week award. She is fourth is the Southern Conference in hitting percentage with .336, second in kills per game with 5.06, first in total kills with 253 and second in points per game.  Ball is third on the Chattanooga’s all-time career kills list with 1,371.

 

Other top performers include Dianna Thomas of Appalachian State, Annie Uthe of College of Charleston, Kittery Neale of Davidson, Alison West of Furman, Christy Dowd of Georgia Southern, Branagan Fuller of UNC Greensboro, Katie Hennessey of Western Carolina and Shanna Hughes of Wofford.
