Bye-Nagel Honored as Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? Davidson’s Kyri Bye-Nagel has been named Southern Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for the week of October 30.

 

A forward from Hanau, Germany, Bye-Nagel tallied three goals and one assist last week as the Wildcats (12-4-1, 7-1-1) notched a pair of Southern Conference victories. Thursday evening, Bye-Nagel registered one goal in Davidson’s 2-0 victory over Elon. The sophomore struck again on Sunday afternoon versus Chattanooga by scoring two goals and assisting on the game-winner. For the season, Bye-Nagel ranks second in the SoCon in points (23) and goals (11). She was also named as the league’s women’s soccer player of the week on September 25.

 

Other top performers this week were Appalachian State’s Carella DiMaggio, College of Charleston’s Megan Manthey, Chattanooga’s Milla Junni, Furman’s Briana da Mota, Georgia Southern’s Ashley Toussaint, UNC Greensboro’s Kelly Attayek, Western Carolina’s Caitlin Williams and Wofford’s Kendra Merchant.
