SPARTANBURG, S.C. ?Elon’s Brett Paschall was named the Southern Conference Student- Athlete of the Week.  Pashall, a senior on Elon’s soccer team, has a 3.49 grade point average in Exercise Science and a minor in Chemistry.

Paschall, a Summerfield, N.C., native, helped Elon to a 1-0-1 record as the Phoenix defeated Socon Rival Davidson, 2-0, and tied No.1 Wake Forest, 1-1, on Tuesday.  The Phoenix are in the middle of a seven match unbeaten streak and have only allowed two goals in that span.

Against Davidson, Paschall scored his fourth goal of the season and moved into a sixth- place tie on Elon’s career goals scored with 21.

In the match with No. 1 ranked Wake Forest, Paschall assisted on Elon’s only goal.  The goal was just the third scored against Wake Forest this year.  With the assist, Paschall moved into fifth place on Elon’s career points list with 56.

He is ranked second on the team with four goals and 11 points. He leads the team in assists with three.
