ELON, N.C. -- Heavy rains which hit the Elon area around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon made Rudd Field unplayable and forced the cancellation of the Elon-Winthrop men's soccer contest slated for 7 p.m.  The game will not be made up and Elon will next take the field on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at SoCon-leading Furman in Greenville, S.C.
