Elon's Brett Paschall Named Men's Soccer Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? Elon’s Brett Paschall has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week after tallying two goal and two assists last week.

 

The senior forward assisted on Elon’s only goal in a 1-1 draw with regionally-ranked North Carolina Tuesday night. Paschall followed that performance with a two-goal, one-assist effort in Elon’s convincing 4-1 win at Wofford on Sunday afternoon. A native of Summerfield, N.C., Paschall currently ranks second in the Southern Conference in points with 18, placing him just one point behind the league leader.

 

Elon (7-3-4, 4-1-0) sits in second place in the Southern Conference standings with 12 points and will take on first-place Furman Saturday night in Greenville at 7:30 p.m. The Phoenix also host Winthrop in a non-conference match Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

 

Other top performers this week include Appalachian State’s J.T. LaBruyere, College of Charleston’s Ryan Kell, Furman’s Haris Cekic, Georgia Southern’s Luigi Clendening and Wofford’s Joey Taylor
