SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? Elon forward Justin Wyatt scored two goals in two matches last week and has been named Southern Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week.

The sophomore from Raleigh, N.C. put the Phoenix (5-2-2, 2-0-0) ahead early with a first half goal against Clemson in an eventual 1-1 draw. On Sunday evening, Wyatt struck again, scoring the game-winner against Davidson to keep Elon perfect in league play. The Phoenix are currently in the midst of a six-match unbeaten streak and sit atop the Southern Conference standings with a perfect 2-0 record.

Other top performers this week include Appalachian State midfielder Juan Obregon, College of Charleston midfielder Grant Guthrie, Furman forward Chris Davis, Georgia Southern forward Luigi Clendening and Wofford midfielder Wilson Hood.
