Western Carolina’s Katie Hennessey was named the Southern Conference Student- Athlete of the Week.  Hennessey, a sophomore on Western Carolina’s volleyball team, has a 3.7 grade point average.

Hennessey, a North Richland Hill, TX, native registered her third triple-double of the season against Elon.  She had 10 kills, 11 digs and a season-high 54 assists.  Hennessey had 30 assists against UNC Greensboro.  Hennessey recorded 103 assists in three matches.
