SPARTANBURG, S.C. ?The Southern Conference Cross Country Coaches selected Jen Povick of Appalachian State the Women’s Runner of the Week for October 15. 

Povick, a senior from Charleston, W.Va. finished sixth of 198 runners at the Blue Ridge Open in Boone, N.C.  Her time of 18:38 was a personal best and she helped her team to a third place finish of 20 teams which included Southern Conference opponents Elon, Western Carolina and UNC Greensboro.

Other top Performers: included Natalie Wolin, a sophomore at The Citadel, won the Low Country Invitational hosted by Charleston Southern at John Island, S.C.  Her winning time of 19:21 made her the second female cross country runner at The Citadel to win a cross country race in school history.
