The Davidson men’s and women’s basketball teams will kick-off the 2007-08 season with

their annual "A Night With The Cats" on Thursday, Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. The preseason event will be held in John M. Belk Arena following the volleyball match against Appalachian State. Admission is free and open to the public with general admission seating.

 

The Third Annual event will be televised Friday, Oct. 12 at 7:00 p.m. on ESPNU with College Basketball Analyst Hubert Davis broadcasting. Davidson will join Georgetown, Memphis and Southern Illinois on ESPNU that evening.

 

It once again will include skits performed by the Wildcats, a pep rally, team introductions and on-court action (3-point contest, scrimmage).

- ADMISSION IS FREE!

 

- Basketball teams will hold dances and skits, a 3-point contest, and scrimmages by both the men’s and women’s teams

 

- Autograph session for everyone following the men’s scrimmage

 

- One lucky fan will have a chance to win $10,000 in the Allstate Good Hands Shootout.

 

- Get a chance to meet and mingle with Davidson Basketball Players and Coaches

 

- "A Night with the Cats" will start at 7:30 PM or immediately following the women’s volleyball game at 5:30. Come early, enjoy some volleyball, and get good seats.
