WOMEN’S CO-ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Brenna Burns? Davidson
Junior ? Weaverville, N.C. (Psychology Major- 3.97 GPA)
Brenna won the UNC-Chapel Hill, Fast Times Invitational 3,000 meters in a school record time of 9:53.37. She beat NCAA cross country qualifier Alicia Valtin by two seconds. Congratulations to Brenna on being named this week’s Co-Athlete of the week.
Raquel Ramseur ? Western Carolina
Junior ? Charlotte, N.C., (Marketing and Sociology Major ? 3.21 GPA)
Raquel was the first place collegian in the Niswonger Invitational 400 meters with a time of 55.95. She was also the third place collegian in the 200 meters in a time of 24.94 and ran a 54.2 split on the second place 4 x 400 relay team running 3:46.60. Raquel leads the SoCon rankings in the 200, 400 and 4 x 400 relay and is ranked fourth in the 60 meters. Congratulations to Raquel on being named this week’s Co-Athlete of the week.

Kerrie Savery, Jr, Western Carolina (Palm Harbor, Fla., ? Biology Major) Kerrie finished third in the 800-meter run at the Niswonger Invitational held at East Tennessee State with a time of 2:14.89. She also ran a 57.4 split during the prelims of the 4 x 400 relay and followed that with a 56.8 split in the finals, as WCU finished in second place with a time of 3:46.60. She also ran a personal best split in running the 1200 leg of the DMR in 3:39. She is currently ranked first in the SoCon rankings in both the 800 meters and the 4 x 400 relay. Kerrie is from Palm Harbor, Florida and is majoring in biology with a 3.30 GPA.
Jenna Wrieden, Graduate Student, Appalachian State (Arizona State ? Exercise Science) Jenna won the Niswonger Invitational 5,000 meters in a SoCon leading time of 17:41.86, running the fourth fastest indoor 5k in ASU history. Jenna earned Academic All-American honors in cross-country last semester; she graduated from Arizona State and is an Exercise Science major.
