On a very muddy course with ankle deep water in several places, Katie ran a 19:38 at the Bulldog Duals held in Charleston at James Island County Park. With Hedley’s great time she lead her team to a 1-2-3 finish and three wins in the dual meet format.

Brittany Johnson, Fr, Furman (Cary, N.C., Green Hope HS) Brittany won the Eye Opener Invitational held in Spartanburg over the weekend. There were 32 teams entered and her winning time was 19:14. Her margin of victory was 14 seconds in her first collegiate race.
Lanni Marchant, Sr, Chattanooga (London, Ontario) Lanni won the PowerAde Invitational held on her home course, her time on the 2-mile course was 11:03. Six teams were entered including Auburn, Middle Tenn. St, and Chattanooga. Lanni was an NCAA qualifier last spring in the 10,000 meters and was the SoCon runner-up in 2004.
