BROWNS SUMMIT, NC - The College of Charleston women’s golf team carded the fifth best score of the day with a 292 to jump five spots and tie for 14th after the second round of the NCAA East Regional being held at the Bryan Park Golf Course.

Louisiana State took sole possession of first with a total of 288 on the day. The Tigers are two strokes ahead of second-place Tennessee.

Only Louisiana State, Tennesse, Florida State and Arizona State had a lower team score today than the Cougars. Alabama’s Jenny Suh continues to lead individually after 36 holes with her 139.

Gretchen Zoeller leads the Cougars with her two-day total of 150. Angie Hill and Megan Miller are tied for 55th with a 151 each. Jenn Bellso shot a 70 in today’s round to total 152 and finish tied for 64th, while Julia von Rohrscheidt rounded out the Cougar effort with her 155, good enough to tie for 86th.

The Cougars tee off for the third and final round from hole one beginning at 12:30.

The top eight teams after the third and final round advance to the NCAA Finals May 23rd ? 26th.
