Southern Conference announces Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week for April 19th

Men

 

Jeff Williams ? UNC Greensboro

Junior ? South Plainfield, NC

Williams won the 800m at the UNC Fast Times meet with a time of 1:52.11. He now has the two fastest times in the conference this spring, having run 1:51.63 earlier.

 

 

Women

Nicole Brown ? Georgia Southern

Junior ? Charlotte, NC

Nicole won the 100 meters and the triple jump at the Bagwell-Settle Invitational held at Charleston Southern over the weekend.  She won the 100 meters in a school record and regional qualifying time of 11.74.  She also won the triple jump in a regional qualifying distance of 41-7; she currently holds both the indoor and outdoor school records in the event.  She also finished third in the long jump with a leap of 18-3 and anchored the second place 4 x 100 relay team in a time of 46.75.
