Zhukova, a junior from Moscow, Russia, garnered her second Player of the Week award of the season after completing the week 1-0 in both singles and doubles action. In UTC’s 7-0 win over Western Carolina, Zhukova recorded a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Western’s Trish Hanson and teamed with Lindsey Ballard to defeat Western’s doubles tandem 8-2, completing the13th straight victory for the duo.The tandem also finished the league slate with a perfect 9-0 mark for the season. With Zhukova’s win over Hanson in singles action, she improved her overall mark to 22-1 on the season and her conference record to 8-1.

Chattanooga will begin play in the 2006 Southern Conference Championships in Charleston, SC, on Apr. 20 against the Elon Phoenix. The Lady Mocs are the No. 9 seed entering the tournament while the Phoenix are the eighth seed.
