Chattanooga’s Badr Bouabdella and Davidson’s Lora Dushanova have been named the Southern Conference Men’sand Women’s Tennis Players of the Week for the week ending Mar. 27.

Dushanova, a freshman from Silven, Bulgaria, finished the week 4-0 in singles play, helping Davidson to a 2-2 record on the week.With her performance this week, Dushanova ran her singles winning streak to nine consecutive matches and improved her overall singles mark to 11-3 on the season. In doubles play, Dushanova teamed with Kate Levitt and the dou completed the week at 2-2. After beginning her freshman campaign 2-3, Dushanova hasn’t dropped a match or set since March 2 in a loss to Armstrong Atlantic.

The Lady Wildcats will return to the court on Saturday, April 1 when the Wildcats entertain former Southern Conference member East Tennessee State.
