The Citadel 7, Wisconsin-Green Bay 0

Laie, Hawaii - The Citadel didn't let a little rain get them down as the Bulldogs swept Wisconsin-Green Bay, 7-0, after having their match delayed by Hawaii's torrential rain for close to 20 hours. The Bulldogs won two of three doubles matches over Wisconsin-Green Bay (5-7) and cruised through the singles portion for their first sweep of the season. The Cadets (10-7, 4-2 SoCon) now look to face No. 14 BYU-Hawaii in the second match of a doubleheader.

Daniel Dossetor and James Eason upped their doubles record to 10-1 on the season as they handily defeated UWGB's Mark Goldin and Scott Dickert, 8-4, at No. 1 doubles. David Lara and Nick Medica fell at No. 2 doubles, 8-6, to the Phoenix' Tim Prudlow and Eric Plaushines but the Bulldog tandem of Derek Jose and Ananda Sawmynaden pulled out the 9-8 (5) win at No. 3 doubles to give The Citadel the doubles point.

Eason struck first in singles play with a dominating 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles over UWGB's Dickert as the Christchurch, New Zealand-native moved to 14-3 on the season, 13-1 at the No. 3 singles position. Meanwhile at No. 1 singles, Daniel Dossetor notched his fifth win in six matches as he recorded the 6-3, 6-1 win over Prudlow. Dossetor now holds an 11-6 record on the season in singles play.

David Lara recorded his 10th singles victory of the season as he took down Hines in two frames, 6-1, 6-2 and Nick Medica won his second consecutive match with a 6-2, 6-1 win over the Phoenix' Plaushines at No. 5 singles.

The Citadel will turn around and face host-No. 14 BYU-Hawaii at 2 p.m. Hawaiian time (7 p.m. ET). Wisconsin-Green Bay will face New Mexico State in the Aloha State before squaring off with BYU-Hawaii.
