SPARTANBURG, SC -- College of Charleston’s Justin Malina has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for the week ending Mar. 20.

Malina, a sophomore from Atlanta, GA, helped the Cougars extend their winning streak to 13 and remain unbeaten in league play, as they finished the week with a 3-0 overall mark, and were 2-0 in SoCon action. He recorded a 3-0 record on the week playing at the No. 3 singles position. Malina is now 11-0 at the No. 3 position this season. He took each victory in straight sets and improved his overall mark to 12-0 on the 2006 campaign.

The Cougars will hit the courts again on Thursday, Mar. 23 when they close out their 12 game homestand with a match against Morehead State.
