DAVIDSON, N.C. ? The Davidson women's tennis team ran its home record to a perfect 7-0 mark and earned their fourth straight win by defeating visiting East Carolina by the score of 6-1 on Friday afternoon at Covington Courts. The Wildcats saw their record jump to 9-4 overall with the nonconference win and Pirates saw their record fall to 12-6 overall.

The Wildcats took an early 1-0 lead by securing the doubles point as the number two doubles team of senior Lindsey Powel and freshman Michele Fanney along with the number three doubles duo of junior Kate Levitt and freshman Lora Dushanova each won by the score of 8-4.

Fanney, Levitt and Dushanova then helped Davidson take five of the six singles matches. Fanney won at number two singles with a three-set victory by the count of 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 over Mireia Gol. Levitt take a 7-6(5), 6-3 decision over Dirstin Buchanan at the four spot and Dushanova earned a 6-2, 6-2 win at number six singles over Hannah Priest.

The Wildcats return to action when they host Southern Conference foe Western Carolina on Saturday, Mar. 18 at 1 p.m. Davidson is currently 1-0 in SoCon play.
