MIAMI, FL - The Wofford women's golf team completed its spring season opener Wednesday with a 14th-place finish out of 20 teams at the Pat Bradley Championship at the Miccosukee Golf and Country Club. The Terriers fired a 323-317-314--954 (+78), 57 shots behind team winner Augusta State, who posted a 21-over par 299-300-298--897 to eclipse second-place Brigham Young by one stroke.
Memphis' Stacey Tate won the individual medalist honor with her 5-under par 71-75-68--214, one stroke ahead of Lisbeth Meincke of Georgia State. Meincke registered a 70-73-72--215 (-4) to round out the under par golfers among the field of 106 individuals.
Leading the Wofford attack were sophomore Mary Ellen Herring and junior Laura Parris, who each finished tied for 40th. Herring tallied an 82-78-75--235 (+16), while Parris notched a 78-81-76--235 (+16).
Freshman Colleen Rice garnered a 78th-place tying result with her 27-over par 81-82-83--246, one shot ahead of teammate and senior Lauren Stephenson. Stephenson tied for 80th after caring rounds of 82-85-80--247 (+28).
Rookie Erin Wells completed the Terrier contingent with an 88th-place tying finish of 31-over par and scores of 89-76-85--250.
Wofford will return to action March 6-7 at the Hargrove B. Davis Spring Classic at Keith Hills Country Club in Lillington, N.C.

MIAMI, FL - UNC Greensboro fired a final day 313 to sure up its 15th place finish at the 28th annual Pat Bradley Women’s Golf Championship, hosted by Florida International at the Miccosukee Golf Club.
Augusta State won the team total with a score of 897, thanks to three golfers in the Top 10. Brigham Young University was second, one shot behind, followed by Georgia State and host Florida International in a tie for third.
The Spartans, which finished with a tournament total 955, were led by Ashley Mylton. The sophomore from Charlotte, NC finished tied for 25th after carding a tournament total 232. After starting slowly with an 81 yesterday morning, Mylton fired a 75 in the afternoon and shot a 76 on Wednesday. Lacy Miller also had a strong third round, shooting a team-best 75 on Wednesday after two rounds of 81 on Tuesday.
Memphis’ Stacey Tate won the individual title, erasing a three-shot deficit on the final day with a tournament-low 68 on Wednesday. Her score of 214 edged out Georgia State’s Lisbeth Meincke by one shot for medalist honors.
The Spartans return to action on March 6 when they open play at the Hargrove Davis Classic, hosted by Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC.

MIAMI, FL - The Citadel Bulldogs began their spring season with a 20th place finish at the Pat Bradley Women's Golf Championship at Miccosukee Golf and Country Club in Miami, Fla.
After firing marks of 342 and 331 on the first day, the Bulldogs had a third round score of 335. The Citadel's 54-hole score of 1008 was 21 strokes behind Bethune-Cookman and Ohio University, who tied for 18th.
Kayla Bowsher led the Bulldogs with a round of 80 on the final 18 holes and had the best total score for The Citadel with a 245 (82-83-80). After firing the best round of the tournament for the Cadets on the first day with a 79 on the par-73 course, Kelley Thorsen shot an 81 to finish with a total score of 254 (94-79-81).
Augusta State won the tournament with a total score of 897, just one stroke ahead of Brigham Young University. Host Florida International and Georgia State tied for third with a 54-hole total of 908. Fellow Southern Conference members Elon, Wofford and the University of North Carolina-Greensboro finished 11th, 14th and 15th respectively.
The Bulldogs continue their tour through the Sunshine State as they head to Daytona Beach, Fla. to participate in the Bethune-Cookman Spring Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 25, and Sunday, Feb. 26.
