Cougars Finish Sixth At Papa John's Collegiate

MIAMI, FL - Angie Hill shot a 75 in the third round to pace the College of Charleston women’s golf team to the sixth-place finish at the Papa John’s Collegiate being held at Don Shula’s Golf Club.

North Carolina State shot a 295 the final day to retain the lead and win with an 892 total. Charleston totaled a 913 in three rounds.

East Carolina finished second with an 896 and rounding out the top three was Virginia with a 900.

USF’s Christina Jones won individual medalist honors with a 214, shooting a 71 the final two rounds.

Hill placed tied for 13th for the Cougars with a 225, while teammate Gretchen Zoeller shot a 226 for a tie at 16th. Jenn Bellso tied for 31st with a 231 and Megan Miller shot a 233 for a tie at 36th. Julia vonRohrscheidt rounded out the Cougar effort with a 239 for a tie at 52nd.

The Cougars are next in action Mar. 3rd when they travel to LSU for the Cleveland Golf Classic at the University Club in Baton Rouge, La.
