GREENSBORO, N.C. - Elon swept its way through all six singles matches and all three doubles flights on its way to a 7-0 non-league men's tennis victory over North Carolina A&T Tuesday afternoon at the Aggies Tennis Complex.

The Phoenix (1-2) received doubles wins from Austin Fenn and Kevin Colin at No. 1 (8-6 over Vitas Hawley and Londell Hartfield), Sebastian Bredberg and Gustaf Asplund at No. 2 (8-6 over Porter Myrick and Eric Martin) and Damon Gooch and Alex Garrett at No. 3 (8-4 over Jared Martin and Jeremy Martin).

In singles action, the Aggies (0-3) claimed an early lead at No. 4, but could not sustain it as Asplund overcame Jared Martin 5-7, 6-2, 10-3 for the victory there. Meanwhile, Gooch dispatched Eric Martin 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1, Bredberg turned back Jeremy Martin 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2, Fenn topped Hartfield 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3, Colin conquered Quincy Hawley 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5 and Kevin Beard beat Vitas Hawley 6-1, 6-3 at No. 6.
