Spartanburg, S.C. -- The Southern Conference today named College of Charleston volleyball player Lindsey Kane as the TIAA-CREF Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of November 8.

Kane, a junior from Dubuque, Iowa, earned her third Molten Volleyball Player of the Week honor this week after she recorded her first triple-double and led the Cougars to a 3-1 record last week.  The setter tallied 71 assists and 15 digs in the 3-2 loss against Coastal Carolina on Tuesday.  In conference action on Wednesday, she recorded 50 assists and six kills in the 3-1 victory over Georgia Southern.  Kane notched her first triple-double of her collegiate career in the 3-1 win over Chattanooga on Saturday.  She tallied 50 assists, 10 kills and 15 digs for the Cougars in the match.  On Sunday she recorded 42 assists and five blocks in the 3-0 win against Western Carolina.  Kane was also named the CVU National Player of the Week this week.

Off the court, Kane boasts a 3.6 GPA and is majoring in psychology.  She was named to the 2005 Fall Academic All-Conference Team.
