Spartanburg, S.C.-Davidson freshman Stephen Curry was named Southern Conference Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 20. The freshman from Charlotte, N.C. averaged 21.5 points per game, scoring a game-high 27 points against Illinois-Chicago on Nov. 15. Curry made 9-of-10 shots in the second half including three three-pointers as the Wildcats posted a 100-89 victory. He also scored 16 points in Davidson’s game against Missouri.

Son of former Virginia Tech star and NBA standout Dell Curry, the younger Curry scored double figures in each of Davidson’s first five games of the season. The 6-foot-1 guard scored a career-high 32 points against Michigan at the John Thompson Classic. He is also averaging 6.6 rebounds per game.
