Davidson's Suzanne Sittko Earns Women's Soccer Player of the Week Honor

SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? The Southern Conference announced today that Davidson’s Suzanne Sittko has been named the Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for the week of October 25.

 

Sittko, a freshman midfielder from Greenwood Village, Colo., scored two game-wining goals last week to lead the Wildcats to a 2-0 record in conference play.  She notched her first game-winner in the 1-0 win over College of Charleston on Thursday.  In action on Sunday against Western Carolina, she tallied her fifth goal of the season in the 1-0 victory.  The back-to-back game-winners were Sittko’s third and fourth in her collegiate career.

 

On the week, Sittko tallied four points on two goals in two matches for the Wildcats.  She leads the league in game-winning goals with four.

 

Other top performers include Appalachian State’s Dana Murphy, Chattanooga’s Nikki Brannen, College of Charleston’s Brittany Schneider, Elon’s Alisa Petitt, Georgia Southern’s Ashley Toussaint, UNC Greensboro’s Kelly Attayek, Western Carolina’s Shanna Schmoker and Wofford’s Whitney Steelman.
