Wofford?s Natalie Ferrara receives TIAA-CREF Student-Athlete of the Week honor

 

Spartanburg, S.C. -- The Southern Conference today named Wofford women’s soccer player Natalie Ferrara as the TIAA-CREF Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of October 18.

 

Ferrara, a junior midfielder from Mt. Pleasant, S.C., scored the game-winning goal in Wofford’s 2-1 victory over Furman on Sunday.  The score improved her goal total to three on the season, which is a career high for Ferrara.  The win marked the first victory for Wofford against Furman in nine years. 

 

Off the field, Ferrara carries a 3.55 GPA and is majoring in biology.  She was named to the 2006 Honor Roll and All-Academic Team.
