Matt Holmes ? The Citadel

Senior ? Taylors, S.C. (Wade Hampton HS ? Business Administration Major)

Holmes led his team to a fourth place finish at the Disney Invitational.  There were 34 teams in the field including Univ. of South Florida, IPFW, Central Florida, Hofstra, Stetson and Xavier. Holmes ran 25:54 for the 8K course, a 30-second personal best and his first time ever under 26 minutes.  Matt was the ninth collegian to finish.

Other top performers:

Justin Hunter, Fr, Wofford - Hunter finished second for his team at the Garder-Webb duals.  He ran 20:47 for 6080m (about 27:20 for an 8K, which is a two minute personal best for him).

Chase Condon, Fr, (Hendersonville, N.C.) Condon placed fourth at the Lees McRae Bobcat Invitational. He covered the very challenging and weather-beaten 4.1-mile course in 23:07.
