SPARTANBURG, SC -- The Southern Conference announced Tuesday (Jan. 31) the pairings for two non-conference men’s basketball games resulting from the BracketBusters presented by eBay expanded pool of 100 teams.

College of Charleston (13-7, 6-3 SoCon) will host Georgia State (5-14, 2-9 CAA) on Saturday, Feb. 18, while UNC Greensboro (10-12, 3-5) will travel to Saint Peter’s (10-10, 6-5 MAAC).

For the Cougars, it will mark the 21st meeting with the Panthers, and the first since a 70-63 win on Dec. 22, 2001. CofC leads the series 14-6. UNCG has won its two previous meetings with the Peacocks, the last coming Dec. 1, 2001 (77-61).

As part of the BracketBusters contract, each team agrees to a home-and-home series with its opponent, with the return game to be played in November or December of the following season. College of Charleston will play on the road next season against GSU, while UNC Greensboro will host Saint Peter’s.
