Chattanooga 22, The Citadel 9

 

Charleston, S.C. ? Chattanooga won the first six matches of the night and seven of 10 to defeat The Citadel, 22-9 in Southern Conference wrestling action Tuesday night in McAlister Field House.

 

Winners for The Citadel (4-7, 0-1 SoCon) were Dan Thompson (165), Darius Caldwell (174) and Mark Thompson (197).

 

For Chattanooga (10-6-1, 1-0 SoCon), Michael Keefe secured the evenings only major decision by beating The Citadel’s Michael Arias, 14-4 at 141 pounds.

 

The Bulldogs will travel to North Carolina on Friday, January 27 to take on Greensboro at 7:00 pm.  Chattanooga will host Northern Iowa and Cumberland University on Saturday, January 28 at 7:00 pm.
