SPARTANBURG, SC -- Elon’s Kiki Willis has been named the Southern Conference’s men’s soccer Player of the Week for September 13.

A freshman forward from Youngstown, OH, Willis scored four goals last week to help the team to improve to 4-0 on the season for the first time since Elon commenced the 1988 season 5-0. Willis recorded his first collegiate hat trick by netting Elon’s first three goals in the Phoenix’s win over Triad rival High Point.

Willis ended last week having accumulated three consecutive game-winning goals to lead Elon on the season in goals with five, but his accuracy may be the real story, as the freshman took only seven shots last week to pick up the four goals.

Other top performers for the week included College of Charleston’s Jeremy Gold, Davidson’s Matt Allen, Georgia Southern’s Justin Elie and Wofford’s Jesus Arroyo-Peco.
