Wofford Releases 2005 Volleyball Schedule

The inaugural Enterprise Rent-A-Car Volleyball Classic, Sept. 16 and 17, in the Benjamin Johnson Arena highlights the 2005 Wofford volleyball schedule it was announced by head coach Corey Helle.

The two-day event will bring Charleston Southern and East Carolina to Spartanburg. Action will tip off Friday Sept. 16 with the two schools battling in a 1 p.m. contest. The host Terriers will then face Charleston Southern at 3:30 p.m. before playing East Carolina at 7 p.m. A single match pitting Wofford and Charleston Southern against each other again concludes the Classic Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Terriers open the campaign versus Norfolk State and at Radford. Both matches will take place in Radford, Va., Aug. 27.

Wofford will then play Sept. 3 in the Jasper Invitational in Riverdale, N.Y. The first match the Terriers face host Manhattan. In the night cap, Wofford will be matched against either American or Quinnipiac.

The Enterprise Rent-A-Car Volleyball Classic is part of a series of seven-straight home matches from Sept. 13 to Sept. 28.

After the month of September, however, the Terriers will be in action in the Benjamin Johnson Arena just seven more times, including five Southern Conference contests.

The 2005 SoCon Tournament will take place Nov. 17-20 inside Georgia Southern's Hanner Fieldhouse in Statesboro, Ga.
