Wofford men's soccer announces 2005 schedule

The second annual Wofford/adidas Invitational highlights a set of 11 home matches on the 2005 Terrier men's soccer schedule as announced by head coach Matt Kern.

The tournament, which will feature Cornell, Furman and Georgia State, is set to kick off Sept. 23 and 25 at Snyder Field. Furman will play in the event for the second-straight campaign.

Wofford will play six of its first eight contests at home through September before starting Southern Conference action.

The Terriers will welcome North Florida to Spartanburg Sept. 18 in the first meeting between the two schools.

SoCon home matches include College of Charleston (Oct. 7), Elon (Oct. 25) and UNC Greensboro (Oct. 29).

A four-game homestand versus High Point (Oct. 22), Elon, UNC Greensboro and Jacksonville (Nov. 1) closes the regular-season action.

The Southern Conference Tournament will begin with the quarterfinal round Nov. 5 on the campus sites of the top-four seeds. The event will continue Nov. 11 and 13 at Blackbaud Stadium in Charleston, S.C.
