Cougars 26th in the nation in baseball

Charleston, S.C. -- The College of Charleston moved up three spots to No. 26 in the latest Collegiate Baseball poll, it was announced on Monday.



The Cougars, winners of their last 18 SoCon series, have been nationally ranked for the past 23 weeks dating back to last season.



Charleston is 35-9 overall and sits atop the Southern Conference standings with a 19-2 league record. CofC is coming off a 4-0 week including a three-game sweep at ETSU over the weekend. At 15-4, CofC has the second best road record in the nation.



The Cougars take the middle of the week off for exams before hosting Furman in a Southern Conference series this weekend. The opener is slated to begin at 7:00 on Friday.
