Wofford's Brandt named TIAA-CREF Student-Athlete of the Week, May 12

SPARTANBURG, SC -- The Southern Conference today named Wofford outfielder John Brandt as the TIAA-CREF Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of May 11.

Brandt, a 6-0, 205-pound sophomore from West Union, SC, hit .364 last week, collecting four hits in 11 at-bats. He had a pair of two-hit games in the series with UNC Greensboro including a double, an RBI and a pair of walks.

In the classroom, Brandt carries a 3.72 grade point average.
