Woffords Jessie Cole Tabbed TIAA-CREF SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week

SPARTANBURG, SC -- The Southern Conference announced today Wofford baseball player Jessie Cole as the TIAA-CREF Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of March 16.

Cole, a junior from Scituate, MA, held then number two ranked South Carolina hitless for four and two-thirds innings on March 15. He allowed only one hit in five scoreless innings, fanning five Gamecock hitters. Making his first appearance since suffering a back injury on Feb. 23, Cole left the game with the Terriers holding a 2-0 lead.

A humanities major, Cole carries a 3.56 GPA.
