SPARTANBURG, SC -- UNC Greensboro goalkeeper Jennifer Stillman has been named the Southern Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 4, the league announced today.

Stillman, a senior from Randolph, NJ, posted back-to-back shutouts last week in conference play, posting wins over Appalachian State and Elon.  Stillman began the week with a 4-0 win over the Mountaineers, notching four saves.  The shutout was Stillman’s 22nd of her career, setting a school record.  She then followed with her fifth shutout of the week versus the Phoenix, stopping five shots. 

Other nominations for the week include Appalachian State’s Whitney Southard (2 goals and 2 assists vs. The Citadel), Chattanooga’s Elfa Erlingsdottir (2 goals in win over The Citadel), College of Charleston’s Colleen Hoban (scored first career goal in a tie against Furman), Davidson’s Tiffany Mumby (2 goals in a win over Georgia Southern), Furman’s Katharine Kelley (2 goals in win over Chattanooga), Georgia Southern’s Ashley Toussaint (1 goal and 1 assist in win over Wofford) and Wofford’s Traci Lynch (1 goal vs. Georgia Southern, assisted on game-winning goal vs. Western Carolina).
