Western Carolinas Leslie Martin Tabbed TIAA/CREF SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week

SPARTANBURG, SC -- Western Carolina indoor track runner Leslie Martin has been named the TIAA-CREF SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week for January 26.

Martin, a senior from Jonesville, VA, finished fifth in the 800 meters at the Niswonger Invitational with a time of 2:14.95. Martin also ran the opening leg (56.4) of the Catamounts 4 x 400 relay, as her relay team finished third with a time of 3:46.75.

In the classroom Martin carries a 3.8 GPA, majoring in art history.
