Football 7/26/2004 6:20:00 AM Southern Conference SoCon Football Players Visit Hospital A young patient is visited by (L-R) Derrick Butler of Georgia Southern, Jerelle Carter of Appalachian State and James Green of The Citadel SPARTANBURG, SC -- Sixteen Southern Conference football players in town for the annual Football Rouser presented by the Carolina Ford Dealers visited patients at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center on Monday, July 26.The student-athletes spent over an hour visiting patients in the pediatrics and oncology units and reading stories to children in the Child Development Center.The Southern Conference Football Rouser presented by the Carolina Ford Dealers continues on Tuesday as the eight SoCon head coaches and the student-athletes meet with media members from throughout the Southeast. The Rouser is taking place at the Marriott Renaissance Park in Spartanburg.
