SoCon Baseball Coaches Name All-Conference Teams

SPARTANBURG, SC -- The Southern Conference baseball coaches today named its all-conference team. The coaches selected Caleb Moore of East Tennessee State as the Player of the Year and Ryan Johnson of the College of Charleston as the Pitcher of the Year. College of Charleston head coach John Pawlowski was named the Coach of the Year and CofC second baseman Chris Campbell was the SoCon Freshman of the Year.

Moore, who is the SoCon and national leader in both batting average (.466) and doubles (30), is the first Buccaneer to earn Player of the Year honors since Gary Robinette in 1980.

Johnson is 12-0 this season in 12 appearances. He has a 23-3 career mark in two full seasons with the Cougars.

Pawlowski was named the Coach of the Year after leading the College of Charleston to a school record 42 wins and a Southern Conference record 25 league victories.

Campbell earned Freshman of the Year honors after hitting .324 with four home runs and 53 RBI.
