Baseball 4/26/2004 9:39:00 AM Southern Conference College of Charleston 27th in Collegiate Baseball Poll Charleston, S.C. -- The College of Charleston baseball team, winners of six in a row 26 of its last 29 games, is ranked 27th in the latest Collegiate Baseball newspaper top 30 poll released on Monday. The Cougars are 32-7 overall and sit atop the Southern Conference standings with a 16-2 record. The Cougars are coming off a 4-0 week after winning on Wednesday at Coastal Carolina (7-2) and sweeping a three-game SoCon series with East Tennessee State (15-5, 11-4 and 13-6) at Patriots Point Field over the weekend. This is the fifth consecutive week CofC has been ranked by Collegiate Baseball. Here's a week-by-week breakdown of CofC's rankings: March 29th (25th), April 5th (22nd), April 12th (20th), April 19th (27th) and April 26th (27th). CofC plays at Winthrop at 7:30 on Wednesday.
